The Autopsy of Jane Doe (2016)
'No-one could see what we have seen.'
Directed by André Øvredal
Starring: Emile Hirsch, Brian Cox
Released in the US: December 21st 2016
Concept
Two coronors, both father and son end up spending the night performing an autopsy on a young Jane Doe (for those who don't know a Jane/John Doe) is someone entirely unrecognised and unknown). As they perform the autopsy they find her to be medically impossible.
She has been clearly beaten and brutalised but no features of one show on the exterior of her body in cuts and bruises. Her eyes are clouded, meaning she has been dead for several days yet doesn't show it on the body.
That's where everything goes wrong, they try and uncover the truth. Who is this woman? What on earth happened to her and why are there strange occurrences?
Review
This film is somewhat of a mystery horror. It drags you through the plot and always keeps you guessing. It's dark, foreboding and original.
Kelly, who played the corpse is very knowledgeable of yoga, and could control her breathing, so it's not always a dummy on the table. Production of this film started in May 2015 in London.
It's a fantastic scare and creeps you the hell out, they throw in some character development too and it's a horror that terrifies you mercilessly. The Autopsy of Jane Doe certainly isn't one to miss.
Hey guys don't forget to follow the blog and remember to stay horrific!
