Released: June 1st 2011

Budget: 2M   Box Office: 5.4M

Concept
A Paranormal investigation reality TV crew shoot their infamous and controversial 'Episode 6' in an abandoned hospital. Why Episode 6? Because that was the last document they ever did, six years later their producer is given a tape anonymously, with over seventy hours of footage.

This film...is that footage edited down.

The opening starts off with raw footage of them having interviews and learning the history of this abandoned mental hospital with a past of abuse, torture and experiments.

For the episode they plan to stay eight hours overnight inside the haunted asylum. The footage you are then shown is how they were never seen again.

Review
In the same blood lines as Blair Witch this Canadian POV film is a horrific joy and there's a lot that is introduced in the first twenty minutes and all of it is relevant later on.

Like any good horror it plants a fear in you and lets it fester, and boy does this film keep you on your toes. It's more terrifying when nothing happens because the anticipation is terrible.

Unlike Paranormal Activity taken in a cosy Suburban house this movie takes you into something worse than a forest with a witch legend it travels you to an abandoned mental asylum.

The film itself was filmed on location in British Columbia called Colquitlam in Riverview Hospital...a freaking mental institute! So don't be surprised if the acting is a bit too realistic.

It came out to mixed reviews, the trailer itself went viral and it came out with a sequel. If you haven't seen it go watch it in the dark then get back to me on what you thought about it.

Don't forget to follow the blog for more updates and stay horrifying!
